It was a rough start to the night for the TVR #8 Ductworks Australia, WCM, Valvoline Rocket after running strong in the first heat race. Shortly after the start of the heat we were tagged from behind bending the rear panel onto the tire, then mid race we were again drilled from behind this time puncturing the other tire and then as the body dropped cutting down the other tire that was already rubbing leaving us stranded with 2 flat rear tires and a DNF.

The 2nd heat starting out of position 16 we started trying to make up way up front when some cars in front all came together leaving us with nowhere to go besides sliding into pack, leaving the right side of the #8 heavily damaged and having to start from the rear of the grid again. We managed to work our way back to a 6th place finish at the chequer flag.

The TVR Crew of Brent, Jay, Baz & Woody did an unreal job to get the bent parts replaced and panels straightened out on the #8 Rocket in time to make it out for the final.

We started out of position 11 in the final so it we knew it was going to be a tough race if we were going to finish at the pointy end of the field with all the quality cars in front of us. The minute the green flag dropped we knew we had a great car and the TVR #8 Ductworks Australia, WCM, Valvoline Rocket crew got the Hoosier Tire choice and setup spot on for the track conditions. We worked our way to 5th position by lap 7 and on lap 8 we took the lead powering from 5th place in turn 1 to be in the lead by turn 3 and was never headed finally taking the chequered flag by nearly 5 seconds from Cardy & Jason Oldfield.

It was another great result for the TVR team and consolidates our R2C Pro Dirt Series points lead with only 2 rounds remaining.

The TVR #8 Dirt Late Model crew will now have a week off and get ready for our next event scheduled for the Perth Motorplex on the 16th April followed by the season finale double header at Margaret River over the Easter long weekend.
