At Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio

Conneaut, OH A gorgeous, warm night led to some hot racing at Raceway 7 with Max Blair stretching his winning streak to six in a row. The young third-generation driver is undefeated this season in FASTRAK action at Raceway 7. Chuck Steinle, a second generation driver, won his first ever in the competitive E-Mod division. Shawn Fawcett and Bud Sergeff picked up their first feature wins of the season in the Street Stock and Mini Stock classes.

Kevin Decker and Bill Dorman led the 23 Schwartz Construction FASTRAK Late Models to the green with Decker grabbing the immediate lead. Max Blair started the event in the tenth position in his quest for six wins in a row. Decker led, increasing his lead every lap until mechanical problems relegated him to the pits on lap eight.

Just after Decker left the event a three car pileup in turn one brought out caution. Dorman led the restart with Dwayne Pond running second and Billy Henry third for the restart with Blair now up to fifth. The second yellow flew just a lap after green for a spin by Ken Chernik in turn four. On the first lap after green Billy Henry challenged Dorman but a five-car pileup coming out of turn four again brought caution over the speedway.

When the field refired after the caution period Blair immediately came to second with Henry third. Dorman, who had run a smooth line throughout the event, lost the handle in turn four in lap 11 and spun, leaving Max Blair in the lead.

For the restart it was Blair leading with Henry now second and Kyle Zimmerman third. With six laps remaining, Jason Stanke spun in turn four, collecting Billy Cunningham Jr in the process. Blair had his car in cruise control the remainder of the event, undefeated thus far in six features. Henry wound up second with Zimmerman third, Bud Watson fourth, and Damian Bidwell fifth.
